* Import Rules (Trinidad & Tobago)

Age Restrictions:

Car should not be more than 4 years old. For vehicles to be used as taxis, they must not be more than 3 years from the date of manufacture.

Important points to consider while importing used vehicles to Trinidad and Tobago:

• An Individual can import only 1 vehicle every 3 years.
• Car must be deregistered and should have accurate information about mileage and manufacturing year.
• Right Hand Used cars can be imported but only with a valid import license. Car should not be fitted with a diesel engine
• The car must be Environment friendly.

Inspection:

Roadworthy inspection of vehicle must be done before registration.

Marine Insurance:

This will cover the cost of the vehicle if the vessel sinks, catches fire, or is destroyed totally during transit, cost of 'general average' cost of salvation, if vessel is rescued before sinking, cost of any parts stolen during transit.

Although Marine Insurance is not compulsory, it depends on the buyer.

Delivery Time:

Approximately 6-7 weeks depending on the vessel schedule.
