Age restriction:
There are some restrictions regarding importation before import a vehicle. These restrictions are:
- Imported second-hand cars or buses (less than 10 seats) should be below 10 years of age from the year of production.
- Imported second hand van or buses (more than 10 seats) must be less than 7 years old.
- Imported used Lorries must be less than 10 years old.
Left-Hand Drive vehicles:
Vehicles imported in DR Congo must have steering wheel on the left side is allowed in D R Congo.
Inspection required for vehicle importation:
vehicle should be inspected before it is imported in DR Congo. Although there is no specific inspection on used vehicles imported in D R Congo. Pre-Shipment inspection of imports for the Democratic Republic of Congo is mandated by the DGDA and OCC, Ministry of Commerce. If the imported vehicle fails to maintain the standards then repairs are made on the vehicle.
Marine Insurance:
This will cover the cost of the vehicle if the vessel sinks, catches fire, or is destroyed totally during transit, cost of 'general average' cost of salvation, if vessel is rescued before sinking, cost of any parts stolen during transit.
Although Marine Insurance is not compulsory, it depends on the buyer.
Regulation:No specific inspection required officially.

Delivery Time:
Approximately 6-7 weeks depending on the vessel schedule.
