Routing Number - What it is? What to do when people ask this? Why people ask this?
What is Routing Number?
- Routing Number is a number of US Banks to transact inside USA. Only US banks have routing number and Japanese banks do not have routing number.
So, how can the buyer send money to Japan without Routing Number?
- Tell buyer to go proceed as "abroad money transfer" with his/her bank. Buyer can make the "Abroad Money Transfer" to CAR FROM JAPAN bank in Japan, using the SWIFT code that we provide them.
Why do they ask for Routing Number?
- We get this question from buyer, when the buyer or the unexperienced bank employee is not conscious about the abroad money transfer & just tries to make a domestic (inside USA) money transfer. In domestic money transfer (inside USA), they use the routing number. When sending money abroad, they will have a place to use the SWIFT code and make the money transfer.
